A Poem for Maddie

Ok so this is non poker related but still deserves a space on my blog. As many of you are aware a 4 year old called Maddie. Madeleine McCann has now been missing since 3rd May after being snatched from the apartment in Portugal where she was staying with her parents and younger twin brother and sister. It has been 2 months now since she disappeared and our thoughts and prayers are still with her family. They are not ready to come home without their Maddie and as a parent myself I totally understand that.

The news coverage is starting to become less now but that is not to say that the authorities are not doing their jobs properly.A man and a woman arrested in southern Spain are being investigated over an attempt to extort money from the family of Madeleine McCann.


A senior Spanish police source said the man, who is Italian, and his Portuguese girlfriend are being questioned over an alleged approach to the McCanns to exchange information they claimed to have regarding Madeleine's whereabouts for cash.http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,91210-1272677,00.html

My son wrote a poem last night for Maddie and her family and I wanted to share it with you.

Find Maddie


Friends and family heartbroken
In the hearts of others their words are spoken
Not knowing if she is dead or alive
Dad praying hard and trying to survive
Mum asked the pope to say a little prayer
After 2 months no one knows if she is here or there
Don't be selfish or cold hearted
Do all you can to help the campaign thats been started
I hope this poem brought a tear to your eye
Everyone prays that Maddie doesnt die
